In his speech at the conference, Deputy Secretary Chen Gang pointed out that in order to build our country's information security guarantee system, talent cultivation is a necessary foundation and prerequisite. Hefei University of Technology has always put the cultivation of talents with both moral and intellectual integrity, excellent ability, and conscious service to the country first, deeply implemented the "moral education, ability-oriented, innovation and entrepreneurship" three-in-one education and teaching integration system and the "second classroom transcript" system, the quality of talent cultivation has been improving year by year, students' innovation and entrepreneurship ability has been significantly enhanced, and it has maintained the first phalanx of national innovation and entrepreneurship education. Over the years, it has provided a large number of network security professionals for relevant government security departments and major domestic security companies, making important contributions to economic and social development.
Director Yang Xiushun, from the perspective of the construction of information security majors in universities in Anhui Province and the cultivation of talents in cyberspace security, believes that talents in cyberspace security are not only skill-based talents, but also need to have systematic professional knowledge and abilities. Through the platform of the National College Student Information Security Competition, he hopes to inspire the patriotism and social responsibility of the majority of students and improve their awareness and skills of information security.
A total of 2488 teams from all over the country participated in this preliminary competition, including 341 teams from the Northeast (Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong) division. After the online preliminary competition, a total of 80 teams, including 320 people from the Electronic Countermeasures College of the National University of Defense Technology, the University of Science and Technology of China, Shandong University, the Ocean University of China, Southeast University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Hefei University of Technology, Anhui University, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Shandong University of Science and Technology, etc., entered this Northeast Division/semi-final. After 8 hours of fierce competition, a total of 64 teams won the first, second and third prizes in the division, including 12 teams from Shandong University of Science and Technology, the Electronic Countermeasures College of the National University of Defense Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Hefei University of Technology, etc., successfully advanced to the national finals. In this competition, the C1Sec team of the Information Security major of the School of Computer Science won the first prize (qualified for the national finals).
The National College Student Information Security Competition - Innovation and Practice Ability Competition is guided by the Cybersecurity Coordination Bureau of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, and the School Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and is hosted by the Higher Education Network Space Security Professional Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education.
